History of Podiatry

 

Until 1977 Australian Podiatrists were known as chiropodists. The name change to podiatry reflected the upgrading of education levels and a expansion in the scope of practice by the profession. Ivanhoe Podiatry Centre has been in Ivanhoe for approximately 20 years with Emma Chapman the owner of it for the last 12 years.

Ivanhoe Podiatry takes pride in the exceptional care given to maintain good foot health in all our clients. We use a wide range of therapies to alleviate foot problems and regularly liaise with other health professionals as required. We pride ourselves on our punctual appointment times as we appreciate your time is just as important as ours. We also offer out of hours appointments with many clients happy with the pre work/school or after hours appointments available. It is recommended that you book early as these appointments are taken quickly. We happily provide service to Veteran affairs, TAC, Workcover and Medicare patients who have the appropriate referrals from their doctor.
